WOW how horrible. I knew Ricky (after the mall days in NJ) went on to be in some big bands--I had Googled him from time to time, imagine my sadness to see hes passed. I remember him from 1986--1990 in NJ-walking around the mall with those drumsticks in his back pocket, a sweet guy among many "not so sweet ones". God bless him-thank god he has a son to carry on his name...

Patrick Brannick:
I met Ricky while I was working at the House of Blues in Chicago. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face and was such a genuinely nice person, and that's hard to find in our business. I, too am a drummer and we hit it off right away! Even after we had lost touch, he sent me Christmas cards. God Bless you, Ricky!! Rock on, my friend!!

Oh my goodness what to say about Ricky. I knew Ricky from back in the early to mid 80's (a long time ago it seems), and what I can remember was his larger than life smile. But then Ricky was larger than life. At that time he was a struggling musician, but he managed to make everyone around him feel warm, and wanted in his life. He managed to make me feel larger than life, and he treated me with respect, and he made a shy, insecure girl feel like a beautiful woman. I will always remember him with profound fondness. (And I will remember making a pair of mink earrings .. as I type this my fingers hurt still *LOL*). For those he left behind, it was too soon. But thank you Ricky for being the quintessential rocker, friend, and man. God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hands.

I met Ricky during his treatment at the hospital, I was one of the medical professionals who saw him from time to time, he was always incredibly strong and full of life. I remember his amazing smile and his ability to keep a strong and positive attitude at all times. He was so talented, witty and very charming. We lost touch after I left the hospital. I tried to contact him recently to see how he was but sadly found, he was no longer with us. Ricky, you are truly missed. God is with you.

[I met ricky years ago, and he invited me down to london to see enuff znuff, and to go backstage. He kept his word and I can safely say I have never met such a genuinely nice person as Ricky, he will be sadly missed, not just for his talent, but for his lovely personality. RIP Ricky xxxxxxxb]

I knew Ricky back in the mid 70's at CYO and at Wayne Country Day Camp. He was
always laughing and having a good time. You did something that most of us dreamed back when we were kids- 'You were a drummer in a rock n roll band.' I salute you my friend. God Bless you and my prayers for your family.

Ricky was an awesome drummer and an even better guy. Something Strange opened for Enuff Znuff a few times and he was always cool to us. It's cool to see a few pictures of him on this site playing my drums at a show we did with them at Penny Road Pub. He is truly missed.

I have been a fan of enuff znuff since 1988 after I borrowed the debut cassette from the library. Since then I have seen ricky play alot of shows after vic fox left the band. Ricky was awesome and I regarded him as the best live drummer I ever seen. I havent been in touch with the bands progress since I heard that derek frigo had died and the last time I seen them was about 3 years ago and ricky wasnt there. Either was donnie vie, that was the last time I saw the band. Just today I was thinking about the band and I knew that ricky was fighting cancer, so much time has gone by since I first heard the news. last I heard members of aerosmith were helping him out with his health. I was truly saddened today to find out he passed away, My condolenses to his family and close friends. Ricky was a great drummer and from what I hear a great person as well. Though I never met him I have and will always have a high regard for the musician and the person he was to his friends and fans. Peace to you ricky, may your musical talants inspire those who witnessed your talent and your dedication to your music. Sincerely yours brother! Sean Knapp Oak Forest IL

I met Ricky after a Znuff show in Rhode Island in probably '96 or '97. He was super kind and took several minutes to talk to me about drumming and other things. He was a super smooth drummer, I still remember how he did that little stick twirl before each hit on the ride cymbal. I used to try to copy that but it never looked as smooth as when Ricky did it.

I was lucky enough to be Rickys Tour Manager on 4 UK/European tours. I was also proud to call him a friend.

He was such fun to be around so full of love and life. He was truly ALIVE when he played the drums.

We had some really fun times on the road as 'Partners in crime' as someone once put it.

Great too see some many great pics especially the ones with those crazy Vikings Michael & Steen.

Great Memories of great times and a great man!

We miss ya Brother.
